Timbaland is in final talks to serve as executive music producer on CG-animated feature Groove Tails.
The movie will star Jamie Foxx as a mouse forced to enter the world of competitive street dancing to pay an outstanding cheese debt.

Timbaland is the latest big music talent to lend expertise to animated fare.
Pharrell Williams composed the scores for Universal’s Despicable Me films, and also wrote original songs including the explosively popular song “Happy.” It was also recently announced that the Grammy winner will write music for 2017’s Hidden Figures from Fox 2000, starring Taraji P. Henson and Octavia Spencer.
DreamWorks Animation enlisted Rihanna to record two original songs for 2015’s Home. And DreamWorks has tapped frequent Timbaland collaborator Justin Timberlake to executive music produce, write and perform original music for its Nov. 4 release Trolls.
