27, Freehand's New Restaurant and Bar Opening Late Fall

The Freehand, Miami's favorite trendy hostel/bar/hangout is about to become even more awesome with the opening of a new restaurant called 27. Not much information is out just yet, but a very good source tells us the eatery will be operated by the same team behind the insanely popular Broken Shaker: Bar Lab's Elad Zvi and Gabriel Orta, and Freehand's Roy Alpert; and that it will be created as a complement to the Broken Shaker bar. Located in the historic stand-alone two story building on the property, 27 aims to keep in line with Freehand's casual, fun and accessible vibe, but no details on the specific cuisine so far. Manning the kitchen will be chef James Seyba, who just a few months ago joined the Shaker as their executive chef. The bilevel indoor/outdoor restaurant will be designed by design duo Roman & Williams, the same team that designed both Freehand and Broken Shaker. Check back for more details as we get them.
