HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - Officials with Redstone Arsenal have closed a daycare facility over mold concerns.

The Child Development Center on Mill Road was tested last fall after complaints about mold. The arsenal said three different kinds of mold were discovered, and the center will be closed until removal and clean-up is complete.

The Garrison Commander told parents last week that during the mold removal process, they discovered structural problems with the building that would keep causing the mold problems to recur.

Crews are working to fix the problem, but it could take up to nine months.
