The New York Times has quoted Mary Jo Kane, director of the Tucker Center and professor in the School of Kinesiology, on the Little League baseball pitching phenom Mo’ne Davis in an article entitled, “A Young Player’s Achievements Resonate Beyond a Sport: Mo’ne Davis’s Little League World Series Run Draws Appreciation.” Kane says the media exposure is a good thing for women in sport.
