Free-to-play specialist Kabam has cut the ribbon on a brand new office in Berlin, further strengthening its drive to better serve what it believes is the lucrative European market.
The new Berlin office – which PocketGamer.biz was treated to a sneak peak of on Wednesday – is designed to build on the fact 40 percent of the firm's revenue comes from Europe, with Kabam looking to mop up the considerable talent in the German capital.

"Berlin is a vibrant tech hub with a unique multi-national workforce, and is the ideal place to expand Kabam's European games support,” detailed Kabam's president Andrew Sheppard.
"Europe is a thriving free-to-play market where more than forty percent of Kabam revenue comes from, and our new Berlin office best suits the needs of our partners and customers in that region."
A temporary office had been set up in Berlin just last year housing 50 employees. The new base, however, stretches across two floors of the Greifswalder Straße with around 80 employees on board. Kabam is looking to boost that number to around 150 before the end of the year.
As detailed, the office's focus will be on supporting IP such as Kingdoms of Camelot: Battle for the North, The Hobbit: Kingdoms of Middle-earth, and Dragons of Atlantis: Heirs of the Dragon.
It will also support Kabam's WorldWide Developer Fund - a multi-million dollar effort to enable third-party developers in China, Japan, and South Korea to launch in North American and European markets.
