Some great riding on a home-built tandem - not words that usually go together! This is no usual tandem team though, and no usual tandem bike either. With all-mountain angles and 200mm of suspension travel, Jackson and Rose can ride it almost as hard as a normal bike. After watching this, you'll want to find yourself a full suspension tandem and have a go.

The track is Cheesy DH at Craigieburn in Canterbury, New Zealand.

 I liked that way more than I thought I would, and that is unexpected because I usually think of tandem bikes as being the side-by-side toilets of the bike world. What is and what should never be, in other words. Still, totally original and a really great video. Loved the rack setup at the start!

 i saw an older couple in whistler bikepark a couple weeks ago with a suspension tandem bike... the guys wife was backseat driving them past the boneyard just yelling directions i felt awful for the dude.

 As a keen whitewater kayaker, I love Duo's. Stick someone new in the front and take them down something scary and chunky. They don't really have to do anything, but they get a front row seat of the hole about to eat them.

 The next time someone complains about chainstays being too long just show them this video! Mad props to the girl riding the back. She doesn't even look scared. The "tandem rack" on that car was pretty much made a mullet of the situation: regular car front all business, party in the back!

Fireroad climb on 200mm? sure, twice the power, but damn that must have been a bit of a grind (especially when someone took a break!)

 While it's no XC bike, you can make 200mm climb a whole lot better than your average DH bike by using and appropriate suspension curve. It is also a little easier to make an efficient climbing tandem because there is less weight transfer between the wheels when you stomp on the pedals.
The 2.7" dual ply tires on the other hand, ouch!

 We've just got our first off road tandem, and it is so much fun. As to being told what to do from behind - it's probably just communicating what's going on in the back end so the pilot knows what he's got to do next. If a tandem team isn't talking, then it's a team that's going to crash.

 Everytime it airs, it looks like it is going to nose hard. Scary to watch, couldn't fathom riding. That said I have a road tandem and its kinda fun.

 Yes, it does always land nose first unless you are riding at absolute hyperspeed. It feels very smooth when landing though (especially on such little jumps).
