We are entering the final phase of the charity. All auctions end on 11:59:59 p.m on October 31st Central European Time (CET). The CET Timezone can be seen on this page. To prevent $1 sniper bids in the final minute, all bids on the whole final day of the charity (following CET as well) must follow the simple rules below:
Auctions bid below $100 = minimum bid increase $5 and bid increments in $5
Auctions bid above $100 = minimum bid increase $10 and bid increments in $10
Anyone is welcome to round up to the nearest 0 or 5 to make the handling of bids easier.
Don't expect to be able to post in the final minute, there will be a lot of KVR members trying to do the same thing and you might encounter KVR not being responsive due to this. Bids with a timestamp later than October 31st is not valid no matter the cause - so do yourself a favour and post your highest bid hours in advance! Replies (bids) that have been edited after the charity has ended is not valid either so make sure you reply (or bid) with the correct amount and text and don't change or edit anything after.
Finding the winners:
After the charity has ended, I will update the frontpage with all the winning bids, this I will do right after the auction ends. If you think I made a mistake, send me a PM. I will then make a reply as I usually do with an All bids updated please wait for that reply to come, then go to the frontpage and do the following:
- Calculate what you have won (use Ctrl+F to find your username)
- Transfer the total to me via the PayPal button on my website, in the comment field of the donation write your full name, email address, what you won and the total. There's a small "+" sign next to "Call to Arms: Charity 2014", to the left of "Total". Click on this and a text box will open where you can add your message. Take a little extra time to make sure you do this before clicking the orange button again to finalize the transaction!

Connecting winners and companies:

In the weekend when the charity ends, I will be away from home. I will leave home Saturday to meet up with with old pal's from the army which I haven't seen in 20 years, we will eat a lot and drink a lot and tell fun stories of old time, I won't return from that event before Sunday so nothing will happen in that weekend, but on Monday I will start contacting companies and establish connection to the winners - do not expect that to be finished until at least mid-week.
When all funds are cleared (proceeds, auctions etc.) I will transfer the total amount raised to Save the Children and post a copy of the diploma when I receive it.

The past three years our audio and sound industry have stood united and raised over $43.000 for Save the Children on software and hardware auctions, in an annual charity here on the forum of KVR Audio. Last year alone we raised an amazing $20.924. This year, I hope to raise $25.000 - a very ambitious target! The funds will once again go to Save the Children's Emergency Fund. How it works?
Below is a Sound Dev Charity List. The list contains developers who are donating to the fundraising. The list will grow every day, as developers join in. You can bid on the products on the list, just reply to this thread with your bid, $1 bid increment as minimum. I will not accept bids by PM and all bids must be made in USD. I will update once daily with the newest bids.
The charity starts now and all auctions end on 11:59:59 PM on October 31st Central European Time (CET). The CET Timezone can be seen on this page. When the charity ends I will collect the funds and send auction winner info to the companies. I will transfer the funds to Save the Children start November, posting a diploma when I receive it by mail. The English version of the diploma is on auction too.
New this year is an Indiegogo Call to Arms: Charity 2014 campaign that will run alongside the auctions to help us reach the target, donate and share the link with your friends!
What can I do to contribute?
- Developers: Donate hardware or software. Just let me know what you want to donate and I will take care of the rest. This year, I have set a maximum of 5 donations per developer so I would prefer bigger packages and all-bundles instead of single licenses. Yes, I am greedy but it's all for the kids.
- Non-Developers: Got synths and effects you don't use anymore? Donate them to the 2nd hand thread and help the cause.
- Spread the word! Retweet the Luftrum Tweets and share the Facebook updates about the cause.
