Big Data Partnership Closes £1.25M Series A Funding

Big Data Partnership, a London, UK-based provider of big data solutions, closed £1.25m in Series A funding from Beringea.

In conjunction with the funding, Trevor Hope, Chief Investment Officer at Beringea, joined Big Data’s board.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate the growth of the core team including engineering, data science, sales and marketing.

Founded in 2012 by Mike Merritt-Holmes, Pinal Gandhi and Tim Seears, Big Data Partnership provides  big data consulting, training and support for diverse industries including web, financial services, telecoms, utilities, defence and media to to capture, store and analyse big data to solve problems, identify new revenue streams and develop customised solutions that meet specific customer requirements.
The company is vendor-agnostic and partners big data technology providers including Hortonworks, MapR Technologies, DataStax, Elasticsearch, IBM and Microsoft’s HDInsight.
