Bengals WRs are noticing QB Andy Dalton's increased arm strength

Something has changed with Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton, and his wide receivers have definitely noticed during OTAs."He's got a lot of zing, a lot of velocity to him," wide receiver Marvin Jones said of Dalton to the team's official website Wednesday.Dalton spent part of the offseason working out with Tom House, a former Major League Baseball pitcher who has become a mentor of sorts to quarterbacks such as Tom Brady and Drew Brees. The early takeaway is that Dalton's work with House really improved his arm strength."Best I've seen him," Mohamed Sanu said. "... [Dalton has] put a lot of work in the offseason, just seeing how he approaches it. ... It's on you fast. You turn around and you're like, 'whoa.'"

Like, whoa.Despite 20 interceptions last year, Dalton was a top-10 fantasy quarterback due to more than 4,200 passing yards and 35 total touchdowns. Yet, new Bengals offensive coordinator Hue Jackson has a very different philosophy than the pass-first mind of Jay Gruden. Jackson wants his offense revolving around the run game. That should bring his career-high numbers from last year closer to 2012 levels. In other words, he should be no better than a mid-range QB2.
