Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and his wife are cutting their ties to the Eastside.
After selling their Silver Lake home last year, Garcetti and wife Amy Wakeland on Wednesday listed their Echo Park residence for $1.65 million.
The pair purchased the 1950s-era post and beam home for $345,000 in 2000, listing agent Jacqueline Tager said.
Garcetti and Wakeland renovated and expanded the property to add a bedroom, Tager said. Solar panels and an extensive garden were also added to the home, which was featured in Dwell magazine in 2008.
Garcetti, 44, had rented the residence to Jacob Soboroff, son of Los Angeles Board of Police Commissioner Steve Soboroff, according to financial documents the mayor filed with the city.
Garcetti, Wakeland and their young daughter Maya currently live in the Getty House, the Windsor Square home that serves as the official mayoral residence.
The couple sold their Silver Lake home in 2014 for $1.9 million after purchasing it in 2011 for $1.4 million.
