Thaniel has a decision to make but will he be that devastated by the loss of his loved ones that he’ll become Death? Read on to find out.

The official description from OSSM Comics:

The final battle begins between Thaniel and Death. This is the last chance for Thaniel to not only to save himself and the people he loves, but the world as well. The mysteries of life and death are finally revealed. Will Thaniel succumb to his destiny?

Thaniel_4_ebk_Page_07OSSM Comics first series Thaniel reaches it’s conclusion with the companies first series proving to be a success. In a dialogue focused finale Thaniel is presented with a awkward decision: whether to become Death or not.

Omar Spahi produces a thoroughly gripping script as though it may not be the most exciting in the four issue series it is the most suspenseful. Seldom do you get a purely dialogue issue that is so brilliant, as usually they tend to be rather mundane and boring. Where Spahi excels compared to others is with the actual context with the consequences of this encounter being very high. Despite all this I did find the ultimate conclusion to be slightly predictable as without spoiling anything the Thaniel’s emotions throughout the issue gives away the outcome.

Terry Huddleston has amazed me throughout this mini-series as though the colouring of issue two wasn’t to my taste the overall look and tone of his art has been astonishing. The sheer detail and emotion that Huddleston generates through his art really adds to the overall dramatic tone of the issue, projecting the grave situation perfectly. Along with this he also gives vivid layouts and sensational colours with the red and black monotone look being as stunning as it was back at issue one.

Thaniel ends on a high note and if OSSM Comics continues this trend through it’s upcoming series I’m sure it will become a successful company. Highly recommended.
