Amnesty International partners with dating app Tinder to promote gender equality
Amnesty International has partnered with dating app Tinder to promote gender equality in an initiative to mark International Women’s Day on Saturday.
Tinder users are being asked to log onto the app on Saturday and show their support for gender equality in a few ways, such as uploading a new profile picture out of four images which have messages around the issue, including “Not all women have the choices you do,” with a link to the website makethechoice.com.au.
The smartphone app hopes users will be inspired by the messages and choose to show their support for women’s rights.
Co-founder and CMO of Tinder Justin Mateen said: “We are honoured to partner with such an esteemed organisation as Amnesty International Australia to raise awareness of the human rights abuses faced by millions of young girls and women.
“Empowering women is a vital part of Tinder’s overall mission.”
Tinder is also asking users to write in their ‘About me section’ “Amnesty stands up for women’s rights, will you? www.makethechoice.com.au”.
Amnesty International Australia director of marketing and fundraising Peter Thomas said: “This new collaboration between Tinder and Amnesty International Australia is another way of reaching a new audience and illustrating that support for women’s equality can take many forms.
“Tinder is not only helping build social networks and uniting like minded people, it’s also helping promote interest and support for human rights.”
I hope nobody falls for this stupid nonsense. By the way, when is International Men’s Day?

When has dating been equal for men. I was asked out by a woman once in my entire life, she asked to split the cost. Because men are obligated to ask or remain single there entire life. Every time I’ve had to ask a woman out she’s said who ever asks pays. Men have been blackmailed into paying for dates all there lives to get the same thing woman get for free. Gender equality means when you promote international womans day, there is also an international mens day. Start promoting gender equality and stop promoting special rights for woman & you will find men will start respecting woman more.

Here come the men’s rights activists…
There is no International Men’s Day because every day is International Men’s Day and until there is equality for Women ever day will continue to be International Men’s Day. Those who don’t understand why we need this day are the very reason why it’s necessary.

Womans rights is not equal rights. There is discrimination against both genders, but discriminatiin against men is social excepted. Men die younger, men suceide more often, men are victims of violence, men die in industrial accidnts more, men have more dangerous occupation due to being obligated to earn money for a family, where the wife has a choice not to work, a choice men dont have, men don’t have equal reproductive rights, woman have a right to an abortion, men dont have a right not to pay child support on her choice not to abort, child custody is not balanced, men get conscripted (enslaved into the millitairy) men are disadvantaged in education in western countries, Single woman under 30 with no children in the USA earn 8% more than men http://online.wsj.com/news/art.....0770831192
Even though single woman earn more than men because woman are more educated, Men who are financially disadvantaged are paying for nearly 100% of first dates because woman are discriminating against men in dating. As a man try & get the same choices as woman, & get a woman to ask a man out & pay.for both. How many times woman have made issues with me on a first date about splitting the costs even though 90% of the time you have made more money than me.
Woman need to stop making them selves out to be the only victim & to realise we are both victims.
If woman realy want to be respected as equales, stop discriminating aginst men on a first date & maybe we will respect your view more.
As for my self, Im a decent looking guy, I have standards mortality & fairness, but, every single woman in my life has discriminated against me in dating, not once in my entire life have I been asked out, so don’t tell me, that most woman want equal rights, until woman start pullin there own weight. Gender equality does not mean special rights & privilages for woman.
About international mens day, that does not have even 1 % of the publicly of international womans day, because no one cares about mens issues, people don’t care if men live or die, just look at the titanic.
