I had a post back in April spilling the news about the new Backblaze referral program. Backblaze at the time asked me to take it down, even though the news was available on the Tuaw video that was posted on that post. I agreed to take that post offline at the time but have since put it back now that the program is up and running.
Now that this new program is up and running I can give you more details. It is pretty simple really, if you are already a Backblaze subscriber you can refer new people to the service and to say thanks Backblaze will give you and the person you invited a free month of service if the new person becomes a paying subscriber. To get your referral link just login to the Backblaze website and share away.
Unlike other referral programs for many other services there is no limit on the number of people you can refer and the amount of free Backblaze months you can get. in theory it would be possible for you to get Backblaze free for life. The hard part for me is I am not only a Backblaze subscriber but I am also a Backblaze affiliate, and unfortunately I cannot link to Backblaze as an affiliate and offer you the same deal as a Backblaze subscriber. I personally don’t mind paying for Backblaze and would prefer to send you to them through my affiliate link but I can understand if you want to get the extra free month of service by using the referral link.
