Anderson Cooper lost his best friend - his Welsh Springer Spaniel, Molly.
The CNN news anchor made the sad announcement on his Instagram page Wednesday, where he posted a picture of the red and white pooch, along with a pic of the two of them snuggling on the couch.
'An old picture of my sweet dog Molly, who passed away today,' he captioned the photo.

'I'm like the dog whisperer,' Cooper told 60 Minutes saying he loved all kinds of dogs
It's unclear how Molly (above) died but she was reportedly 11 years old and Welsh Springer Spaniels usually live between 12 and 15 years
He did not offer any details as to how or why his dog passed away, but at 11 years old, the four-legged sweetie was an old lady, according to Celebrity Yahoo!.
Molly made her first TV appearance on Cooper's cancelled talk show - she came onto set quite nervous and buried her nose in Anderson's pants, causing him an embarrassed laugh.
Cooper's love for his furry pal was evident then - 'It's okay, I know' he soothes, feeling bad about Molly's TV jitters.
He then kisses her on the snout.

Molly also appeared in a 60 Minutes special on dogs' emotional intelligence called 'Does Your Dog Really Love You?'
'I'm a total dog person,' he said on the special. 'I have a dog named Molly. I love dogs of all kinds ... I actually love pit bulls.'
'I've always wondered if my dog is scamming me, he joked. 'You look at your dog, and you're like, 'Do you really love, me or is this a trick?'
'What really stuck with me is that when dogs are looking at you, they're hugging you with their eyes. They're actually getting oxytocin - which is what some people call the love hormone - it actually feels good for them to be making that eye contact.
'I totally took that home with me. My dog - she doesn't look at me nearly enough!'
'I'm like the dog whisperer,' he said.
