Broken Sword V Episode Two releasing today

Surprise! Broken Sword V Episode 2 is coming soon. So soon, in fact, it will release today at 6pm.

The long-awaited second part of Revolution Software’s kickstarted sequel is finally here and continues the ongoing adventures of George Stobbart and Nico Collard who have been thrown together for another perilous journey.

Episode 2 will release on Steam, GOG and Get Games on PC, Mac and Linux today. Playstation Vita, iOS and Android versions are to follow.

According to the press release, part two will take us to the Spanish Catalonia and deepest Iraq. It also seems like Episode Two can be enjoyed by people who did not purchase or play Episode One and that we’ll get to meet a few more old friends and acquaintances.

Charles Cecil, founder and director of Revolution Games, revealed his excitement at the launch of this second episode.

We were delighted with the reception Episode One received from the games’ fans. Episode Two takes the gameplay to another level – those who have already experienced Episode One will revel in the conclusion to the tale, while new gamers can enjoy the game in its entirety.’

‘Episode Two ramps up the level of drama, as well as the difficulty level, as the game progresses.’

‘I am extremely proud of the game and delighted that we have had the opportunity to build a direct relationship with our fans. The release of the game represents the conclusion of an amazing journey in self-funding, through the generosity of Kickstarter backers and to publishing the game under the Revolution brand.’

Both Episodes can be purchased for the combined price of £18.99 later today. You can read our review of Episode One here. A review of Episode Two is forthcoming.
