This chapter is based on the current bloset founder team size of 2. It includes our product developing and market fit process.

This story is about the founders team, how we can work remotely. When I came to New York last year for starting up my new company, I met a great entrepreneur in New York. They explained lessons, challenges and their inspirational stories. Every entrepreneur wants a sustainable business. For these reasons, we think long and hard about teaming up with others.

If you are a non-technical entrepreneur like me, you should choose your tech co-founder under these conditions:

1. Attitudes: Trust. If you work with a trustworthy person, you feel like bird. You should flatter what your company needs. Because, you are sure, your business partner will move on.

2. Before you work together: You and your partner should be able to see eye to eye. Work ethics, product/company vision, completed skills, empathy, and friendship will form.

When I was searching for my co-founder, I decided to look for in Turkey. I called AB Besinci. I have known him; we worked together at my previous startup and three other projects. This model is either cost-effective or sustainable. These are important words for both the investors and me.

When we started the business, there were two risks for us:

1. 5,011 miles— distance between us

2. Communication

We had some problems with various partners; however, AB and I knew how to handle the difficulties we faced. We understood that there was a large distance between us, but we are still able to communicate with each other despite the long distance. From these tough times, we were able to create a great project management structure.

We’ve found there are three important ingredients to making remote work, well, work: Team, Tools, and Process management (Goals and MVP planing).

Tools

Tools are important in a remote workplace because they enable you to better organize the team and keep everyone on the same page.

Trello: Trello is an awesome project management tool that makes collaboration easy and, dare I say, even fun.

Zoho: Zoho email, docs, task management, calendar system. You should find more apps for your organization.

Skype and to plan new features, we mostly use conceptboard.com

I am lucky to find a true Co-Founder, because we have common “keywords”: Passion, hardworking, dedication, good intentions and never give up.

Today, we believe in a joint venture culture within our team, mentors, customers and friends.
