Your prayers have been answered

There have been a slew of delivery services launched in South Florida in recent months including Instacart and Bevy, but none delivered groceries from the main grocer in town Publix — until now.

According to the South Florida Business Journal, same-day delivery app Shipt is coming to Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties on August 18 and it will offer delivery of "any items sold by Publix," meaning you can now get your "PubSub" delivered to your door.

The app is currently still in beta testing offering $49 for one year free of delivery charges on orders over $35, according to the Business Journal. While this delivery service clearly states on its website that it is "not affiliated with or endorsed by Publix" it isn't the first time Publix delivery has been available in the area. It attempted its own delivery service in 2001 but phased it out by 2003. [South Florida Business Journal]
