Medical Legal
The Medical Legal Committee is comprised of claims professionals and attorneys involved in the management of claims and litigation involving death or serious injury in matters wherein complex medical care and treatment was provided to injured claimants. Such claims would include allegations of medical malpractice, long-term care/nursing home torts, pharmaceutical or product liability issues, workers' compensation and/or other claims of personal injury. The mission of the Committee is to identify, discuss and educate its members about new developments in the law, medical issues raising new questions and interest, and the legal implications of medical care rendered in various types of claims. The committee is comprised of both Fellows and Members active in these areas, who are tasked with writing articles and developing educational webinars and presentations for the annual Medical-Legal Summit.
