Los Angeles area acts from last year’s Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in Indio ranged from newcomers like the Internet and seasoned veterans like Fishbone to headliners like Skrillex.

A year later, where are these groups and others now?

Broken Bells: Los Angeles group featuring The Shins frontman James Mercer and Danger Mouse (super producer and member of Gnarls Barkley) released the album “After the Disco” in January 2014 and are currently not on tour. They performed at the Outdoor Theatre in 2014.

Haim: The L.A. sisters — Danielle, Alana and Este Haim — with drummer Dash Hutton are currently on a nationwide tour with Taylor Swift. After the release of the band’s album “Days Are Gone” in September 2013, Haim played the Outdoor Theatre at Coachella 2014. During the first weekend of Coachella 2015, Este Haim performed “Jungle Love” with Hozier.

The Glitch Mob: The three-piece electronic group — Boreta (Justin Boreta), edIT (Edward Ma) and Ooah (Josh Mayer) — is currently touring. The trio released its album “Love Death Immortality” in February 2014. The Glitch Mob performed inside the Sahara tent last year.

Aloe Blacc: The performer whose album “Lift Your Spirit” came out in 2014 was nominated for a Grammy Award and now has three touring dates scheduled. He performed in the Mojave tent last year.

Grouplove: The L.A. five-piece indie rock band released the album “Spreading Rumours” in September 2013. Grouplove were on the main Coachella Stage last year.

Shlohmo: Los Angeles-based electronic artist (real name Henry Laufer) is released his latest album “Dark Red” on April 7. He was inside the Gobi tent last year.

Queens of the Stone Age: Palm Desert-based alternative rock band, fronted by Josh Homme (also of Them Crooked Vultures with Dave Grohl), released its last album “…Like Clockwork” in June 2013. The group is reportedly on hiatus. Last year, the group played on the main Coachella Stage.

Skrillex: Los Angeles dubstep artist Skrillex, whose real name is Sonny Moore, released his first full length album “Recess” in March 2014. Skrillex headlined the Sahara tent in the late evening last year and is now touring. He is slated for an appearance during the second weekend of Coachella billed as Skrillex & Friends on April 18 at the Hilton Palm Springs for an LED Day Club pool party.

Foster the People: Los Angeles indie pop act Foster the People released its album “Supermodel” in March 2014. The group played the main Coachella Stage last year and is now currently on a nationwide tour.

Dillon Francis: Los Angeles’ electro house artist, who released his album “Money Sucks, Friends Rule” in October, is currently touring nationwide and in March performed at the Beyond Wonderland festival at Devore. He performed in the Sahara Tent in the evening last year.

Capital Cities: The L.A. indie pop duo released ifirst full-length album “In a Tidal Wave of Mystery” in June 2013. Capital Cities has since performed at several festivals, including L.A.’s first Made in America over the summer. Last year, Capital Cities played the Outdoor Theatre and are not currently touring.

Warpaint: The Los Angeles four-piece indie rock group released its sophomore self-titled album in January 2014. The group has a single tour date scheduled, the Desert Daze festival May 2 in Mecca. Warpaint played inside the Mojave tent in last year.

Banks: Los Angeles alternative pop artist Banks, whose real name is Jillian Rose Banks, performed inside the Gobi tent in the late afternoon last year. Her debut album “Goddess” was released in September and she is currently on tour.

The Internet: The Atlanta/Los Angeles duo are known for their self-described experimental soul sound. Featuring Syd the Kyd and Matt Martians of hip-hop group Odd Future, The Internet released its last album “Feel Good” in September 2013 and performed in the early afternoon inside the Gobi tent last year. The Internet no tour dates at this time.

Beck: The Los Angeles won a Grammy Award this year for his February 2014 album “Morning Phase.” Beck, who is currently on tour, performed on the main Coachella Stage in the late evening last year.

Fishbone: Los Angeles metal, ska, funk and rock band Fishbone performed on the main Coachella Stage early afternoon last year. The group’s last full-length album was October 2006’s “Still Stuck in Your Throat,” but Fishbone did release the EP “Intrinsically Intertwined” in April 2014. The band is currently on tour.

Makes you wonder where all the great bands at Coachella 2015 will end up next year….
