China’s state-run media are reporting a major blast at a chemical industrial zone in the Chinese city of Dongying, in the eastern province of Shandong. No casualties have yet been reported.

A loud blast was reported before midnight local time (12pm ET), according to a state-run radio station  (link in Chinese) on the Weibo microblog service, as reported by Reuters.

On Aug. 22 another explosion at a chemical plant in the same Shandong province killed one person and injured nine.

Earlier this month, blasts at another chemical warehouse in the northern city of Tianjin—about 170 miles (250 km) away from Dongying—killed more than 145 people.
