WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Mold was discovered at Isaac Bear Early College by New Hanover County Schools maintenance crews during a routine check.

According to the UNCW press office, UNCW staff will be applying an aggressive strategy to remove the mold.  The air in Isaac Bear College was sampled November 1, 2013.

New samples have been tested and the results show a "significant reduction in mold spores." The reduction in spores is so great, UNCW has decided to "re-occupy the buildings."

Students should be back in their original classes by Tuesday or Wednesday of this week. Students were relocated to UNCW facilities while crews completed further testing and removal of mold. The testing and removal will last about two weeks.
