Cannery Place Apartments celebrate a grand opening

The Cannery Place Apartments at Township Nine had its official opening on Monday morning! The first of what will be many developments near the Richards Blvd. area will generate much needed high density housing within the River District.

The 180-unit Cannery Apartments signals the first residential units of an anticipated total of 2,500 residential units in Township Nine.  The project is an affordable housing project that is already 70 percent occupied. The entire building is expected to be rented out by the end of June of this year.  As well, the first retail tenant of Township Nine, College Cyclery, will open a store in over 2,500 square feet of retail space this summer.

Township Nine will also attract commercial and retail tenants to complement the residential units in the area. Additionally, enhanced infrastructure developments and a park will also be added to the Township Nine area.  Developers plan to utilize undeveloped dirt piles nearby into a track for off-road biking as well.
