Searching for accounts to follow and learn from on social media can be tough. We decided that we should put together a list of the 300 #mustfollow social media accounts that every entrepreneur should be following. To ensure proper due diligence, we decided to start by asking our Twitter and Facebook followers for their input. To our surprise, many of them suggested the some of the same individuals.

Below is a list of the 300 social media accounts that you should be following, starting with the 35 most popularly suggested accounts. Enjoy!

1. Guy Kawasaki @GuyKawasaki

Guy Kawasaki has made a career (and lots of money) out of talking about the products he loves. The creative brand ambassador parlayed early success as the Chief Evangelist of Apple into 12 books and a number of startup ventures. Follow him for updates from his latest gig at Canva (which is pretty cool by the way), advice on creative thinking, and the latest out of Silicon Valley.

More than 300k followers and counting for Chris Brogan. He was the most mentioned account when we asked “Who should entrepreneurs follow?” on our Facebook and Twitter accounts last month. A very active user and an extremely fascinating follow, Chris tweet about everything small business. We highly recommend that you follow Chris, you guaranteed to learn a thing or two.

2. Seth Godin @ThisIsSethsBlog

Seth Godin is what we like to call a quadruple threat. A well-known marketer, entrepreneur, author, and public speaker, Godin’s Twitter feed is chock full of posts from his hilarious blog (in fact, as his handle suggests, that’s all he Tweets) offering expert advice for the creative marketer.

3. Ted Coiné @tedcoine

Ted Coiné, Babbitt’s co-author on “A World Gone Social,” is a serial entrepreneur and a Forbes Top 10 Social Influencer. His more than 400k followers enjoy pieces of advice on being a great leader and engaging employees, customers and clients in today’s highly social business world.

4. Ebong Eka @ebongeka

CPA and small business author Ebong Eka dispenses invaluable daily advice to his nearly 16,000 followers. In addition to contributing to MSNBC, Fox News, CNN and Huffington Post, Eka has also written “Start Me Up! The No-Business-Plan Business Plan” (Career Press, 2014). He was also a recent guest on Business News Daily’s #BNDchat, where he offered tips for aspiring entrepreneurs.

5. Michelle Glover @enTREEpreneurz

About 57,000 Twitter users follow Michelle Glover, an entrepreneur dedicated to helping women grow online businesses “one leaf at a time.” The CEO of one company and co-founder of another, Glover provides a mix of entrepreneurship inspiration, startup tips and business articles.

6. Keith Wyche @KeithWyche

Leadership expert and author Keith Wyche gives an honest, inside look at the realities of being a business executive. He reminds his more than 9,000 followers to remain humble when leading their businesses, and provides inspirational advice for tackling some of leadership’s biggest challenges.

7. Kelly Lovell @kellyalovell

She may be young, but Canadian entrepreneur and motivational speaker Kelly Lovell has more business experience under her belt than many leaders twice her age. She started her first company at age 19, and has since founded another company and created/produced a youth TV series. Lovell, who has 197,000 followers, was the youngest person on the 2013 Women’s Executive Network Top 100 Most Powerful Women list and continues to inspire young entrepreneurs with her tweets.

8. Mark Babbitt @MarkSBabbitt

Leadership mentor and speaker Mark Babbitt currently holds two executive positions and recently co-authored “A World Gone Social: How Companies Must Adapt to Survive” (AMACOM, 2014). Babbitt has more than 34,000 followers and provides a fresh take on careers and business leadership through a social media lens.

Entrepreneur Ingrid Vanderveldt has quite an impressive résumé. She’s the founder of Empower a Billion Women by 2020 (EBW2020), a television host, an investor and Dell’s first entrepreneur-in-residence. More than 17,600 people follow Vanderveldt as she travels across the country offering inspiration to entrepreneurs everywhere.

10. American Express OPEN @OPENForum

As the founder of Small Business Saturday and the nationwide CEO BootCamp events, American Express’ small business arm OPEN knows a thing or two about entrepreneurship. The company has carried the conversations from its online community OPEN Forum over to Twitter, where its 203,000 followers can “tap into the collective ingenuity of other business owners.”

11. Melinda Emerson @SmallBizLady

Melinda Emerson, known to her 277,000 followers as SmallBizLady, is the author of “Become Your Own Boss in 12 Months” (Adams Media, 2010) and was named the No. 1 influential woman for entrepreneurs by Forbes. Every Wednesday night, Melinda hosts #SmallBizChat, a Twitter chat about starting, running and reinventing a business.

12. Terry St. Marie @Starbucker

Business consultant and writer Terry St. Marie is an advocate of “more human leadership.” He offers his nearly 23,500 followers tons of articles and advice on how to lead a business successfully, and strives to help leaders, no matter their company size, to remain humble and stay connected with their teams.

13. The Alternative Board @TAB_Boards

The Alternative Board (TAB) is an essential Twitter account for any small business leader to follow. More than 4,000 followers rely on TAB, which provides business owner advisory boards and executive coaching for small business owners, for the latest small business news articles, workshops, webinars and events. You’ll also find some truly inspiring leadership and business quotes.

14. Upstart @upstart

For entrepreneurial college grads, student loans and credit card debt often stand in the way of funding a business. Upstart is an online lending platform that uses data to connect young aspiring startup founders with investors who want to fund them. The company’s Twitter account has nearly 5,000 followers and offers great financial and budgeting advice for student entrepreneurs and business owners.

15. Young Entrepreneur @YoungTrep

An offshoot of Entrepreneur Magazine, Young Entrepreneur is a place for the new generation of startup founders to meet and get inspired. This account, which has 269,000 followers, delivers Entrepreneur articles that are especially relevant to young aspiring business owners.

16. Your Business Pal @yourbusinesspal

Every entrepreneur needs a solid business plan. Your Business Pal offers its nearly 55,000 followers a wealth of tips and tricks for writing the perfect plan. In addition to business plan content, this account includes inspirational quotes and links to useful business reading.

17. Mark Suster – @msuster

Mark Suster is a former entrepreneur who now works as a venture capitalist and runs the blog Both Sides of the Table, alluding to the idea of looking at things from both the perspective of the entrepreneur and the VC. Suster’s account offers great tips for founders and he often replies to followers who tweet at him.

18. Chris Dixon – @cdixon

Now a general partner at Andreessen Horowitz, Chris Dixon made a name for himself as an entrepreneur and as both an angel investor and institutional investor. Dixon tweets regularly and his tweets run the gamut from his views on the general startup landscape to his thoughts on certain technologies like drones or virtual currencies.

19. Fred Wilson – @fredwilson

Fred Wilson has invested in some of the biggest tech companies through his venture capital firm Union Square Ventures, as well as running his popular blog AVC. Wilson tweets many links back to original content on his blog, as well as unique thoughts on popular topics such as Bitcoin, wearables, and changes in venture capital investing.

20. Steve Blank – @sgblank

Both an entrepreneur and an academic, Steve Blank currently teaches at Stanford, UC Berkeley and Columbia University. Good original content combined with relevant links and data make Blank’s account a good one to follow for any founder.

21. Josh Kopelman – @joshk

Josh Kopelman is the founder of First Round Capital, a venture capital firm that specializes in investments in seed-stage companies. In addition to tweets about portfolio companies, followers will find advice for founders and thoughts on the overall startup space. Also, look out for great humorous tweets, like a link to the firm’s holiday video.

22. Dave McClure – @davemcclure

Billing himself as the “Founding Partner & Part-Time Sith Lord” of the accelerator 500 Startups, you can expect interesting things from Dave McClure. His tweets will prove useful to many founders, but McClure’s account will prove especially valuable to those interested in startups around the world, particularly those in India and China.

23. Brad Feld – @bfeld

Colorado-based Brad Feld is a managing director at The Foundry Group and a long time entrepreneur and investor in startups. Feld tackles a variety of startup topics on Twitter, and often links back to his popular blog Feld Thoughts, which is another good resource for entrepreneurs.

24. Sam Altman – @sama

As the president of startup accelerator Y Combinator, Sam Altman has quite a bit to offer aspiring entrepreneurs. Altman does tweet about YC companies, but he also shares personal wisdom and anecdotes that are helpful to most startups. He tweets sparingly but more information can be found on his blog.

25. Loïc Le Meur – @loic

Loïc Le Meur is a French entrepreneur and co-founder of the well-known LeWeb conference in Europe. Tweets from Le Meur’s account vary, but followers will find interesting startups news, how-tos for entrepreneurs, along with some inspirational quotes. Le Meur tweets in both English and French.

26. Gary Vaynerchuck @GaryVee

CEO of VaynerMedia, Gary Vaynerchuck is like the overachieving, endlessly enthusiastic, and tirelessly supportive big brother you never had. His Twitter feed is full of advice for hungry entrepreneurs including his take on success, social media, and his (in)famous industry predictions.

27. Sir Richard Branson @RichardBranson

The man, the myth, the legend: Sir Richard Branson started his first magazine, Student, when he was just 16 years old. Flash forward forty some years and Branson has secured his place as the sixth wealthiest citizen in the U.K. Follow his Twitter for advice on leadership, business, and environmental issues.

28. Sheryl Sandberg @SherylSandberg

As COO of Facebook, women’s rights activist, and board member of various companies, Sheryl Sandberg has her plate full. After a distinguished career in business, Sandberg went on to author her iconic book Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead and found Lean In, a 501(c) dedicated to helping women achieve their goals. Follow her on Twitter for updates on Facebook, leadership, and “leaning in.”

This Nebraska native dropped out of college to pursue his entrepreneurial career. He’s founded several Internet companies (Blogger–maybe you’ve heard of it?) and was previously Chairman and CEO of Twitter. Follow him for Tweets regarding this current venture, Medium, as well as interesting social commentary.

30. Biz Stone @Biz

Speaking of Twitter, Biz Stone is co-founder of the micro-blogging platform, as well as Xanga, Blogger, Odeo, The Obvious Corporation, and Medium. Stone’s Twitter is funny, positive, and full of advice for the creative entrepreneur.

31. Sophia Amoruso @SophiaAmoruso

As founder, CEO, and “Chief Trouble Maker” at Nasty Gal, Sophia Amoruso is unapologetically awesome. The self-proclaimed “Wolf of L.A” founded the online women’s clothing store back in 2006 when she was just 22 years old and recently published her first book #GirlBoss. Follow Amoruso and you’ll be inspired to be yourself, no apologies.

32. Tony Hseish @TonyHSieh

At the ripe age of 24, Tony Hseish sold LinkExchange, the company he co-founded, to Microsoft for $265 million. Since then, the creative entrepreneur has been busy setting the gold standard for customer service and company culture as CEO of Zappos. Follow both for a shining example of building brand trust through social media.

33. Steve Blank @SGBlank

Steve Blank is a serial entrepreneur, professor of entrepreneurship at Stanford, Berkeley, and Colombia, and perhaps, our favorite Twitterer on the list. Blank combines his strong teaching capabilities with fervent research to publish thoughtful pieces on his blog, which he regularly tweets about. Blank arrived in Silicon Valley during the emergence of the startup boom, and his Twitter feed is predictably fascinating.

34. Tim Berry @Timberry

Tim Berry is the founder of the Palo Alto software, and a Stanford Alum. The entrepreneur and blogger believes in lean business planning and tweets mostly about smart business planning and startup tips. He’s a great follow.
