SPOKANE — Power has been restored to everyone in the Spokane area who was left in the dark by a massive windstorm more than a week earlier.
Avista spokeswoman Debbie Simock says the last customers got their electricity back at about 3:45 a.m. Friday.
At the height of the outage after the Nov. 17 windstorm, about 180,000 customers in the Spokane area were without power. Simock says that was about half of the power company’s customers.
Two parts of town, covering three ZIP codes, were the hardest hit in the storm because they have more trees than other areas. Simock says those areas were the last to be restored.
