US general faints on camera during press conference
Maj. Gen. James Martin was taken to hospital as a precaution, but has been released and is doing fine.
Air Force Maj. Gen. James Martin fainted at a press conference about the Air Force budget on Wednesday, leaning onto the podium as colleagues rushed to help.
Gen. Martin was taken to another room and later admitted to the hospital as a precaution, ABC News reported. He is reportedly doing fine on Thursday. See the video of the general fainting below.
Gen. Martin and Carol Gleason, the Air Force deputy for budget, were discussing funding for the F-35 fighter jet program, when the general passed out. As he was being led away from the podium, Ms Gleason joked, "That's what an F-35 will do to you."
