Even by the wordy standards of Broadway, this season’s smash hit musical Hamilton is a dense one, full of long raps, power ballads, and quotes taken directly from the mouths of our Founding Fathers. So even when you’re playing one of those Founding Fathers—in this case George Washington, the role Chris Jackson has filled in the production from the very beginning—it can be tough to recall those lyrics you’ve heard eight times a week for nearly a year.
