SmartAll home hub has AI and machine learning algorithms to learn your preferences
Silicon Valley start-up, SmartAll aims to create a smart home hub with AI that uses advanced machine learning algorithms to learn about your preferences.
The device offers voice, gesture and facial recognition to personalise your experience.
The device can learn your habits and adjust accordingly.
If you decide to have a lay in for a few minutes after the alarm goes off, the hub can notify the coffee machine to make coffee on time.
Facial recognition knows who is in the room and can adjust its processes for each individual.
It can turn on the TV, switch lights and the radio on. It can control the microwave to make your breakfast sandwich.
It can even lock the door for you when you leave the house.
While you are away the SmartAll can interact with your vacuum to automatically clean the floor and turns off home appliances to save energy.
It will detect when you return home and turn on the lights for you. It can also control lights and thermostats automatically for your convenience.
When you go to bed the device can alert you to the presence of strangers in your home. It can turn on lights and send a message to your phone.
You can configure the device for different scenarios outside of your normal routine.
The device has it has a 1080p 30fps, 720p,60fps camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, and Z-wave protocols, IR, face recognition, cloud video recording and AI control.
The SmartAll hub will support thermostats such as Honeywell, and Ecobee thermostats, and iRobot Roomba 500 / 600 models.
The team plan to add IFTTT to the list of features and are considering integration with devices such as Smartthings and AnymoteHome.
SmartAll is backed by Founders Space accelerator in Silicon Valley. Its Kickstarter campaign has raised almost half of its goal to date. The developer centre enables developers can build IoT apps to interface with iOS, Android and WebSocket SDKs.
For IoT hubs, the SmartAll is rather cool, offering a truly personalised IoT experience. One day we will all use IoT to control our homes without any effort at all.
