We will be visiting Budapest this fall and would like to visit a bath. Recommendations?
"Best Bath" is a relative term. Are you looking for "picturesque" or a "really good full service bath, but less touristy and picturesque". Are you just looking to soak in one hot pool or are you a serious bather and want to go for the full stack experience (saunas, steam, cold plunges, ice fountains, etc.) If one knows Budapest baths they would know that there are definitely those two types. There are also "summer baths" and "winter baths". Since you're going in October let's talk "winter baths". For picturesque go to the Gellért Thermal Bath but in my book the best all around bath with different temperature pools, saunas and steam rooms is the Király Gyógyfürdő though "less pretty and touristy." It's also more affordable than the touristy ones.

You should visit Széchenyi István tér spa in Városliget. It's beautiful :)
Just been to Széchenyi Thermal Bath last week and found it highly overrated. Yes, the building is beautiful, but so old it is impossible to maintain it. I didn't find it hygienic. Also, quite some baths were out of order.
