IndieCade have announced their first ever European conference and exhibition, which will take place in Paris later this year.

IndieCade Europe will be held at CNAM (Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers) on 18-19 November 2016 and will be of a similar format to the IndieCade East conference rather than the flagship west coast festival.

Now in its tenth year, IndieCade is pretty much the industry’s leading independent, independent game festival. It got off to a good start in 2007 by featuring early indie hits such as Jonathan Blow’s Braid and Metanet’s N+. Since then a multitude of notable games have been featured that have gone on to be critically, commercially and creatively successful. These include this year’s GDC darling Her Story, plus titles including Shovel Knight, Axiom Verge and the recently released Hyperlight Drifter.

Stephanie Barish, IndieCade’s chief executive officer, said:

“Our expansion into Europe reflects how important IndieCade’s international community has become. IndieCade Europe has been created as an opportunity to draw together community from across Europe to network, attend presentations and workshops, as well as to participate in game showcases and social events designed to support independent European game developers and aspiring creators grow their craft, refine their businesses, and flourish as artists in this rapidly expanding global, entertainment industry.”

We’ll read that as she’s as pleased as punch.

All games submitted to IndieCade’s Fall festival, held on October 14-16 in Los Angeles, are eligible for inclusion in IndieCade Europe. Additional details about submission guidelines are available at the IndieCade Europe website.
