Hearbreaking news from the world of celebrity couplings: No Doubt singer and L.A.M.B designer and founder Gwen Stefani and husband Gavin Rossdale, lead singer of Bush, are divorcing. E! Online reports the couple confirmed the split (nooooooo!!!) Monday and released a joint statement.

"While the two of us have come to the mutual decision that we will no longer be partners in marriage, we remain partners in parenthood and are committed to jointly raising our three sons in a happy and healthy environment," Gavin and Gwen said in a statement. "To that end, we respectfully request privacy from the media during this time."

Gavin and Gwen first met way back in 1995 when their bands crossed paths. They wed in 2002 and had three children together, Kingston, 9, Zuma, 6, and Apollo, 1. TMZ reports Gwen's divorce filings (which asks for joint custody of their children) cites"irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split. Gavin also filed a response to Gwen's filing at the same time, asking for joint custody as well.
