Recently thought about leaving this industry. No reason in particular...a "just because" sort of thing.

Took a week vacation away from the city, but as soon as I got back my mind got into work mode before I fully realized haha! This is a strangely and strongly enthralling world, and I'm understanding now that once entered it's not an easy one to say goodbye to.

What is your experience? Have you tried to let this go? Why did you try to leave, and what ultimately brought you back?

63 years later I'm still going, not necessarily going strong but going  .At age 81 I still hobby 3-4 times a month .  I have no plans on quitting, but then plans can change unexpectedly

organ donor, so at some point, when they have removed enough of my organs to make it impractical to continue hobbying, I will quit.

and the more I return to my strip club junkie roots, the less hobbying I do. I can see a time in the not so distant future when I will just rely on strippers who offer impromptu takeout rather than pre-arranging with providers.

dont go into providing with the intention to stay in the biz for a long time. Sometimes exiting the hobby can be because of external factors. In my experience, very few people see providing as a true business, therefore don't treat it as one. When you are career oriented, providing can be one of the most rewarding things you can experience as a business person and human being. I have no idea how it works for hobbyists, but im pretty sure for most hobbyists it is just that... a hobby, with an end date. While i dont have a set date in mind when to quit; I do have goals in mind that when they are met, I will probably dedicate less and less time to escorting, and move to the next phase that life has in lieu for me.

Of course, I do quit seeing providers whenever I am in a committed relationship, and that's always a possibility, so you never know just when I might quit seeing hookers, but I will confess the thought of being with just one woman for the rest of my life is just not one I can wrap my arms around right now.

Been going strong since 1984. Haven't taken a break or hiatus. Will I stop? At some point I guess I'll have to. As long as I can keep playing I'm going to stay in the Hobby.

I still do an occasional double with my wife. Less then once every other month. And then she is vetted in every method I know for discretion.

Back in my 20's and even when I turned 40, my body was in decent shape. Having gained 25 LBs.....then losing 15, I still do not feel good about the way I look.
As a result my hobby activity has declined.  
I keep plugging away and maybe one day I will get those extra lbs off and my self-confidence will return.

She doesn't care.  As long as your clean, respectful and bring her the cash she'll be happy to see you.  Self-confidence doesn't matter to her.

Tall, short, fat, thin, your body size has nothing to do with whether or not you NEED to see providers. The fact that you want to is the only thing important.

i imagine the best remedy to rebuilding self-confidence would be continuing to see providers! Great sex with a beautiful girl gives you that extra boost in life, and you know you could channel that extra joie de vivre and use it to motivate other parts of your life that you'd like to better

I started my sex life with a provider, one of the civvies I fucked in my early 20's ended up telling me she was a provider after we fucked.  I quit the "hobby"  (BTW I hate that word, but a saying "seeing providers" seems awkward) whenever I had a civvie GF, and then for the first 3 or 4 years I was married.

Every time, I went back, because it was the only "sure fire" way to get laid.  Even now, while married, my sex life is scarce, which is why I still "hobby" once a month or so.  But when the wife has a good month and we have sex a few times that month, maybe I won't spend the time and treasure to see a provider.  So... you never know.  It is all about how much real life sex I get.  If I ever got weekly sex, or "gasp" daily sex, I would never see another provider again.  Since that is unlikely, I will probably do this until I am either too poor, or my dick stops working

I lost nearly 200 LB. But looks isn't everything and things are worse, much worse.

Gave me the confidence I didn't have, now I have a girlfriend who far surpasses what I dreamed was possible.

So many guys will go through a "cold streak" and then that "desperate" feeling sets in, where the poor guy thinks he will never get laid again. Thanks Ga - yeah, been about 8 mos since I posted regularly. The hobby made me realize that Thai ladies are the sweetest on earth (well, IMO anyway), so I knew what I wanted and lo and behold I got lucky and found an amazing civvie Thai girl.  She's been occupying most of my time these days.  Not sure where it will lead, but we get along great.  I did meet and have great times with a lot of beautiful ladies in this hobby (really only a couple of subpar experiences), but I was ready for a relationship though.  Who knows what the future holds, but it's been an interesting last 3.5 years, and I wouldn't be in this relationship if not for the hobby giving me the balls to get out of my shell.
