Only two weeks to go untill Lincolnshire's original Colour Dash

We hope you are all excited about the fast approaching Colour Dash and that your fundraising efforts are going well. Click here for some top tips to help with your fundraising. Every penny we raise helps more than 9,000 people receive the specialist end of life care they deserve.

You should have received your Colour Dash packs in the post. Please make sure that you have the correct number- your assigned number is written on your registration letter either near the top or the bottom right of the letter.

There is some vital information regarding the day so please read on for everything you need to know before #CD16 and don't forget to forward onto your family, friends and team mates!

Grand Plant Sale - Lincoln

21st May- 10am

Our 15th annual Plant Sale takes a twist. This year we will be situated in Tesco’s car park selling quality plants at affordable prices. You will find an assortment of bedding plants, shrubs, perennials plus beautifully filled hanging baskets.

Donations are welcome; simply bring your plants along at the start of the event

Paws 4 a Cause - Lincoln

26th June 10am

£5 registration

St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice returns with "Ethel" the Pug to invite all dogs and their owners out for a Sunday morning stroll.

Make your paw print count this year by choosing to walk 3 or 4.5 miles in aid of St Barnabas Hospice. The walk will be setting off from skellingthorpe Community Centre and will lead us into Skellingthorpe Old Wood. This scenic walk is sure to get those tails wagging.

It's a Knockout 2016

10th July- Washingborough Playing Fields

£10 per person

It's a Knockout is about competing in wacky, weird and wonderful games, raising money for your hospice and occasionally getting wet! This years event is going be bigger and better than ever! Brave teams will battle it out in hilarious costumes, putting their skills, strength and stamina to the test to walk a slippery pole using inflatables and giant props.

We are looking for teams of 10 people (teams can be mixed) to take up the challenge.

TRAVEL INFORMATION

Where possible we would advise car sharing, as we anticipate there to be heavy traffic.

We recommend if you are travelling from the south of the city you travel along Burton Road then turn right on to Tillbridge Lane and access the Showground via gate 6.

If you are travelling from the north of the city, travel along the A15 then turn left on to Tillbridge Lane and enter via gate 2.

There is no access through gate 1- this is for emergencies only.

BEFORE THE RUN...

You will be able to sign in from 10am, there will be a group warm up exercIse at 10.30am and the run will begin sharply at 11am.

Everyone must sign in before the run starts and must hand in your sponsorship form. If you have set up a just giving page, please tick the box to say you have done this. If you are fundraising as a family, please still bring your individual sponsorship forms even if they have no sponsors.

If you would like to hand in your sponsorship money at the event you can do so at the information tent.

There will be no registrations on the day and all places are non-transferable, anyone giving places away will not be covered by the event insurance.

WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU

You must have your walker number attached to your t-shirt and have all the emergency contact details filled out before the event.

Please make sure you bring one copy of your sponsor form with all personal details filled in prior to the day. You will need this to sign in. If you are handing in sponsor money please make sure you bring both copies

Please wear comfortable footwear and clothes that you are happy to get messy.

Colour Dash merchandise will be available, along with food and drink stalls, these will be cash only sales so ensure you have cash with you.

Please note merchandise is non-refundable

GENERAL INFORMATION

Only pre-registered Colour Pirates will be allowed to throw paint and it will not be possible to sign up as a Colour Pirate at the event.

There will be an information tent at the event for any general enquiries.

Dogs are welcome but must be on a lead and are not allowed on the route. There will also be no pushchairs allowed on route.
