There is a lot of storage cost for “social discovery” websites – sites that deliver content based on specific search requirements – to store their petabytes of collected data. The need to provide near instant response to user requests but still architect a fast, scalable storage architecture but they have to deliver that architecture cost effectively. To meet this demand these organizations need to break out of legacy designs based on SQL servers and create architectures that leverage object storage.
Caringo’s Vice President of Engineering T.W. Cook joins Storage Switzerland’s George Crump in this ChalkTalk video to show you how to design storage architectures that scale, perform well and are cost effective.
