Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson has been vocal in support of the Sonics for the last few years.
Everyone, it seems, has an opinion about Seattle building an arena and possibly securing the return of an NBA team. Including Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson.
Wilson had a couple of interesting tweets on Tuesday evening, a day after the Seattle city council voted against giving up Occidental Avenue to entrepreneur Chris Hansen for his Sodo District arena:
Wilson even said he wanted to start a petition with fans:
What becomes of this, if anything, who knows. But this isn’t Wilson’s first pro-Sonics comments. In September 2014, he tweeted:
And in March last year, he asked on Twitter, “What do I have to do to bring the Sonics back to the NBA?”
