HIghvolmusic has unleashed a sleeping giant on the metal world. They have brought us Azrael's Bane and this is true metal for the masses. Expect big things from this band and this label.

Here we have a proper progressive metal act. These guys know how to tear it up and when to let the music do the talking. Blistering but tasteful leads intertwined with soaring vocals. In terms of getting your moneys worth this band and this album is worth it's weight in gold. You have a ton of good, solid, searing, thundering metal classics. Azrael’s Bane has released an album chock full of all the power and passion any metal head could ask for.

“Breathe”, and “Brother” are two of the strongest tracks on an album that features nothing but strong tracks.
But for me, it is the cover of Savatage’s “Edge Of Thorns” which really makes this album and this band stand out from the masses. They took a perfect song and re-invented it to a full on progressive masterpiece. The passion and the power were not lost to this band from the original Savatage tune. This capsulates the significance of Azraels’ Bane. They are top contenders for band of the year.
You owe it to your ears and your friends ears to get this album now.

From the Band's press release:
Our Story
Power Metal, Prog, Melodic Metal, Hard Rock, - descriptions touching on multiple genres of heavy music today, none seem to do justice to the music that is Azrael's Bane. Based in Houston, Texas, Azrael's Bane was formed in the summer of 2002. Its members, all seasoned veterans of the heavy rock and metal scene sought to create music that was new, powerful, and different from the norm. They have since developed a strong following through touring and sharing the stage with international acts such as Motorhead, Hammerfall, WASP, Danzig, Ripper Owens, George Lynch (Dokken), Metal Church, Nevermore, Jag Panzer, Quiet Riot, LA Guns, Into Eternity, Lillian Axe, F5 and Neal Turbin among others including a slot on one of the world's largest Latin American festivals, the Monterrey Metal Fest in Monterrey Mexico in 2005. The band has appeared in multiple US music festivals including Rocklahoma, ProgPower West in Los Angeles and Milwaukee Metal Fest. The band signed a 2 CD deal with Chavis Records in the summer of 2005 releasing the highly acclaimed debut CD "Wings of Innocence". The CD received high marks from the press which included a perfect (5 out of 5) review score from legendary Los Angeles, California radio station website KNAC.COM  as well as brisk sales worldwide. In 2009, the band  released their 2nd album "Modern Day Babylon" to another wave of critical acclaim by the worldwide melodic rock music media. The band took a much needed break in 2010. They returned in January of 2015 with new drummer Van Eric Turner (formerly of Zlot Z ) to begin work on a third album. Azrael's Bane signed a new worldwide deal with US based label, HighVolMusic in October of 2015 who will be re-releasing the first two albums in 2016 as well as releasing the new as yet untitled album in 2017. With soaring clean vocals, shred oriented musicianship, five part vocal harmonies, and an emphasis on memorable, hook-laden songwriting, Azrael's Bane are poised to again make their mark on today's metal music landscape.
