A great book stays with you forever, but an epic tale like the Harry Potter series not only stays with you—it becomes a part of you, and in one reader's case, a part of your home.
Meredith McCardle, a young adult fiction author from Florida and longtime Harry Potter fan, recently showed her love for the series by painting the first page of the first novel, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, on her wall, she told Buzzfeed.
She completed this DIY project by using a projector, borrowed from an elementary school, to trace the words onto the wall.
After outlining the words with a pencil, she painted each one by hand.
It took her over 60 hours over the course of three weeks to finish the project on display in her home office, but now she has a very large and wonderful reminder of this magical story to inspire her as she writes her own novels.
If you want to replicate this literary masterpiece in your own home, Meredith recommended using a high-quality paint, so that you don't have to go over it with a second coat, and measuring each line as you go to ensure they're level (the projector can be off!).
