The X Factor: You can audition in Leicester for the first time ever

And you thought things couldn't get any better for the city.

Leicester City became Premier League champions earlier this month. And now, The X Factor is coming to visit.

For the first time ever in the show's history, the ITV singing competition will be holding final open auditions in the city.

The event will take place on Friday, May 27 from 10am at Hilton Leicester Hotel. Solo singers and groups are all welcome to turn up.

"Until this year, Leicester had never won the Premier League and we had never held X Factor auditions in the city, so it is time to say hello," said Simon Cowell.

And when the televised judges' auditions start in June, the series will kick off in Leicester's King Power Stadium.

The X Factor is also holding special auditions just for groups. Hopefuls who show up this Saturday at 1 Stephen Street in London will have a "guaranteed audition".
