London may be one of the more expensive cities to visit but there are always plenty of free events and cheap activities to explore without breaking the bank! We've picked out two of the best free events happening this weekend. We hope you can make it!

Fancy a laugh this weekend? The Bedford in Balham is hosting 60 hours of live comedy this weekend and all without asking for a single penny from you lot! Sound too good to be true? Seeing is believing.

Balham Free Fringe is in its fourth year and promises to be better than ever this time round. With top class comedians on the roster, all of whom will be performing at the Edinburgh Fringe in a few weeks, you know the quality will be high.  With around 40 acts performing on Friday, Saturday and Sunday you’re sure to find something to tickle your tastebuds.

If food is more your thing you need to get yourself down to the Waterloo Food Festival for a splendiferous array of culinary delights to sample. This Saturday there will also be a vintage market seling 50s and 60s fashion, art and culture offering some retail therapy. You can also get your live music fix on Sunday at the Baltic’s Amber Bar where you can hear the hypnotic sounds of Balkan, gypsy fusion brought to you by Dunajske Kapelye, featuring Piotr Jordan on violin and Zac Gvirtzman on the accordion.
