Once you’ve gone on a really good vacation, it’s hard to not want to go on another one. You may find it hard to justify spending the money or taking the time off of work to go travel, but it really can make your life better in several ways.

Can Make Your More Interesting
If you’ve been to a handful of countries or dozens of cities, you will be a more interesting person. You will be filled with stories and experiences that not many people get in life. Your family, friends and even strangers may find you more interesting, as you’ve seen things that they have only read about. Studies have shown that travel also boosts creativity and makes you more open to new things in your everyday life.

May Give You More Compassion
A lot of people don’t live the way that we do in America. Visiting other countries can give you more compassion for others. I will never forget the first time I traveled outside of the country when I was a teenager and saw some of the locals washing their clothes in a stream. It really made an impact on my life. Travel forces you to think in different ways.Β  It also helps you appreciate what you have.

Keep You Stress Free
In general, life can be stressful. With work, kids and bills, it’s hard to relax and forget about everything. Traveling can allow you to get rid of some of that stress and in turn make your life better. People who aren’t stressed tend to overall be in better health and live a better life.Β  It helps you live in the moment and to appreciate a sunset or just people watch where in our regular lives we overlook small moments of pleasure.

Gives You More Friends
I’m made countless friends while traveling. Whether it be hanging out with someone you were paired up with on a tour or a family you met while dining on a cruise, there are countless ways to meet people while traveling. Some of these friendships may even turn into travel buddies for life.

It Can Make You Closer To Loved Ones
Experiencing new things while being in close proximity to your loved ones while traveling can be a good thing. It can strengthen your relationship and allow you to learn new things about one another. Traveling together can also give you experiences that will stay with you the rest of your life and give you a bond that you don’t have with other people.
Traveling isn’t just about having a good time. It can actually improve your life! There are countless reasons why you should travel. Isn’t it time that you booked your next vacation?
