Google has slowly started enabling a new password manager for its Android devices. Dubbed Smart Lock Passwords, you will find this under the “Google Settings” app on your Android phone. It may or may not be available for you just yet, but the rollout has begun and is spreading quickly.

While so far you could only have passwords auto-filled in Chrome on the desktop and Chrome on mobile, Smart Lock Passwords now adds the ability to enter this login information in third party apps on Android. This is a very useful, fairly big announcement that Google slid under the radar, but it has started going live for a lot of users.

You should have the latest version of Play Services installed on your phone. If you cannot find the feature just yet, you will have to wait for Google to flip the switch.
