Peterborough Players Receive 7 NHTA Awards

Peterborough is feeling a little more joyous this week. The Peterborough Players took home 7 New Hampshire Theatre Awards (NHTA) category wins for their 2015 productions of Outside Mullingar and Charley's Aunt. The 14th Annual NHTA awards gala was held at the Capitol Center in downtown Concord, New Hampshire last Saturday night, January 23rd. Here is the winners list for the Players:

BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS:

Winner: Dale Hodges (Outside Mullingar)

BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR:

Winner: Steven Walters (Charley's Aunt)

BEST DIRECTOR:

Winner: Gus Kaikkonen (Outside Mullingar)

BEST ACTRESS:

Winner: Bridget Beirne (Outside Mullingar)

BEST ACTOR:

Winner: Kraig Swartz (Charley's Aunt)

BEST SCENIC DESIGNER:

Winner: Charles Morgan (Outside Mullingar)

BEST PRODUCTION:

Winner: Outside Mullingar

The Players had a total of 22 finalists in the award competition. The NHTA awards began recognizing excellence in New Hampshire theatrical productions (both professional and community) in 2002.

Keith Stevens, Managing Director of the Players remarked, "It is a honor for the Players to be so recognized by the NHTA. We thank them and, of course, we thank the actors, interns, staff and board of our organization. They work tirelessly to put on remarkable and entertaining productions that give enduring memories to our audiences."
