The Community HealthCorps team of Middletown is holding an event for homeless persons in New London. Getting Grounded Foot Clinic will be held all day at the New London Homeless Shelter on Tuesday, March 8th. We will have foot baths for the clients including leg massages, callus removal, toe-nail clipping, and foot screenings for diabetic patients. Upon attendance to this clinic, the patients will receive a free pair of socks and sturdy shoes. We are enrolling Wesleyan in the opportunity to help us ensure that each participant leaves the event with a pair of shoes. There will be multiple locations to drop off shoe and money donations, including a table during lunch times at USDAN. We are accepting shoes for women, men, and children, but our greatest need lies in men’s shoes and comfortable, sturdy pairs. You can venmo us @GettingGrounded. All donated funds will be used for buying shoes.

Any and all donations help, and we thank you in advance!

Drop-Off locations: North College, Office of Community Service
Money Drop Off: Office of Res Life, Office of Community Service
