'If he has a meltdown, people are just so quick to judge'

The National Autistic Society has told 5 live that many crowded venues could still do more to help people with autism.

There are signs that things are changing - Sunderland AFC has become the first Premier League club to install a sensory room, and the Cheshire Oaks shopping centre is about to launch an autism-friendly evening.

Liverpool is hoping to become the first autism-friendly city.

5 live's Jim Taylor went to the city's John Lennon Airport to meet Jen Smales (pictured), whose son Oliver is autistic, and Yvonne Crowhurst from the charity Autism Together.
