Back in 2014, rumors of a new movie started circulating around the gaming world, that was to star one of the most famous video game characters of all time. Now, it’s been confirmed: Sonic the Hedgehog will be hitting our cinema screens (if it makes it that far) in his very own film that combines real life with animation. The movie is expected to be released in 2018, and brought to us by Sony Pictures.

If I’m not mistaken, this will not be the first film we’ve seen starring the blue rodent.  Sonic also had an animated film many years ago (which actually, was more like two longer cartoon episodes).
