Wireless Festival 2016 today announces further acts to itsalready impressive line up. International stars Big Sean, Fergie and Wizkid join additional artists including; Jay Sean, Metro Boomin, 99 Souls, and some of the UK’s biggest emerging grime artists.

Multi-platinum, Grammy® nominated and award winning hip hop artist Big Sean will be bringing his recent U.S. number 1 album,  Dark Sky Paradise to the Wireless crowd this year. Big Sean collaborated with artists such as Kanye West, Drake, John Legend and fellow Wireless 2016 performer Ty Dolla Sign on the platinum selling album. 

Eight-time Grammy Award-winning and multi-platinum-selling artist Fergie, will be heading to Finsbury Park this summer with her first new material in over two years. Known as the lead vocalist of The Black Eyed Peas; one of the biggest selling bands on the planet, Fergie’s first solo album The Dutchess scored her a host of top 10 UK singles, including Fergalicious, London Bridge and Glamorous.

Wizkid,one of Nigeria’s biggest selling singer songwriters and a recipient of BET and MOBO awards, will be performing his unique blend of afrobeats at Wireless to set the soundtrack to the summer.

Celebrated as one of the most successful urban male artists in UK chart history, British singer and songwriter Jay Sean will be making his triumphant return to the UK when he hits this year’s Wireless stage. Following his hugely successful debut in 2004 with two top 10 singles, Eyes on You and Stolen, Jay Sean continued his domination of the charts with hits such as Down with Lil Wayne. This summer Jay Sean will be bringing his unique brand of smooth R&B to fans in London as he once again takes center stage in front of a home crowd.

This year’s festival plays host to the grime scenes’ biggest artists today, as well as championing some of the best emerging talent around. From Newham in East London, Ghetts is notorious for his hard-hitting lyrics and intricate rhyme schemes, with his 2014 debut studio album rising to critical acclaim. South London rapper Fekky is one of the UK’s fastest rising grime artists and has released tracks with Dizzee Rascal and Skepta. His unique style has earned him famous fans and industry accolades and he has been pinned as one of the best emerging talents to watch out for this year. Grime MC Elf Kid scored widespread attention for his 2015 song Golden Boy and is best known as a member of Lewisham’s outfit, The Square. He’ll be joining the line up of impeccable British talent at Wireless this year.

Also announced today:

Metro Boomin – US DJ and go-to producer from St. Louis; Metro Boomin, has produced for other Wireless artists including Future and Young Thug and will be performing hits from his collaborations with Drake and Kanye West.

Sonny Digital –American DJ, artist and music producer, who has produced for stars such as Kanye West, 50 Cent and Gucci Mane; Sonny Digital will be playing tracks from his extensive back catalogue of hip hop and trap anthems.

Father – The US rapper described as the leading light of Atlanta’s lo-fi rap crew Awful Records and the mind behind rap hit Look at Wrist; Father will be making his debut at Wireless Festival this summer.

99 Souls – With a UK top 10 hit The Girl Is Mine charting in January this year, 99 Souls is on the cusp of superstardom and will be hitting the Wireless stage this year to perform their infectious house sound to waiting fans.

Shakka – Despite being unsigned, Shakka has earned himself two MOBO nominations including Best Newcomer in 2013, has a host of celebrity fans including Skepta and Wretch32, and has previously performed his elective mix of indie, hip hop and garage at the Tate Britain.

The Manor – South East London rap trio The Manor released their debut album Don’t Do What We Did in early 2015 to critical acclaim and with a strong local following, they’re sure to set the stage alight this July.

Jorja Smith – One of the most exciting musicians to hit this year’s Wireless stage is eighteen-year-old Jorja Smith. Her recent debut single won serious critical praise making her one of the must-see UK artists for 2016 and a surefire hit at Wireless this summer.

Rude Kid – As Wireless’ who’s who of grime continues to grow this year, the festival welcomes one of the genres go-to music producers Rude Kid who has worked with some of the scene’s biggest names and will be bringing the big beats to the Wireless stage.

Angel – Now, at 28, Angel is ready for more and is preparing for a solo career that, after inking a record deal with iconic US label Motown Records, is at last ready to be realised. Trips back and forth between home and America have since followed, as have studio sessions with Pop & Oak and Swizz Beatz with Angel looking to make his imprint stateside.

A2 – Croydon rapper and producer A2 is recognised for his laid-back sound and electrifying feature on Etta Bond and Raf Rily’s Never Did. He will be performing on the stage this July, bringing his unique sound with him.

Dawin – Further international additions to the line up take the shape of Brooklyn-born vocalist, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Dawin. Who is best known for his 2015 single Dessert, which reached over a 100 million views on YouTube making him a social media phenomenon.

Thomas Jack – The Australian tropical house DJ, who is best known for his around the world festival sets with over 20 million listens online, will be performing his unique sound to London house fans.

Natalie La Rose – who has collaborated with Flo Rida, Fetty Wap and on the global smash hit Somebody with Jeremih, will be performing this summer following the release of her latest feature with Tiesto - The Right Song.

KStewart – Continuing to champion rising talent, West London singer and songwriter
KStewart will be performing her 90’s influenced sounds to festival-goers this summer.

Wireless is also excited to announce that DJ Charlesy will be hosting the main stage across the festival weekend, keeping the crowds hyped for the fifth year running. A label-mate of Tinie Tempah on Disturbing London Records, and resident DJ for Capital FM and Capital Xtra, DJ Charlsey’s unique style, fusion of electric tracks and appreciation for diverse genres has made him the go-to DJ to set the stage on fire between acts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Also announced today is the VIP DJ line up for this year’s Guest Area. Those experiencing the Guest Area package this summer will be front row to some of the freshest DJ’s on the music scene including Capital Xtra’s Coco Cole, DJ’s from the first ladies of the East London’s hip hop revival Work It, DJ Semtex, brothers Star.One, Sarah Harrison, Supa Dupa Fly DJ Emily Rawson and Siobhan Bell.

Live Nation and Festival Republic are pleased to announce Wireless Festival will return to London’s Finsbury Park, 8-10 July 2016. The 11th Wireless Festival will see some new key changes with new access and security measures to ensure the sanctity and safety of the event.
