The Last Dragon 2: Leroy Goes to Hollywood a Fan Film by Dated Future

The big studios never made a sequel to The Last Dragon (did you know The Last Dragon 2 was planned in the late 80’s?) and all they do is talk about a remake but thanks to Dated Future Productions we now have a second chapter in the adventures of “Bruce” Leroy Green. It’s a fun light hearted fan film that pays excellent homage to the 1985 cult classic Kung Fu comedy Berry Gordy’s The Last Dragon.

Plot

Leroy heads to Hollywood to visit his girlfriend, Laura Charles, and his old friend Johnny Yu. Laura is filming her new 7th Heaven show on the west coast and Johnny has has opened up his own dojo. After meeting up with Johnny and taking a tour of the town, Leroy finds that trouble seems to find him no matter which coast he is on. First in the form of 3 punk thugs (the new version of the Sum Dum Goy boys) who try to push Johnny around and make fun of  Bruce Lee (I would not do that if I were you)!  Then by a gang leader who goes by the name of Fo’Sho, who aspires to become the Shogun of Hollywood. Too bad for Fo’Sho, he did not plan on a martial arts master like Leroy standing between him and total supremacy.

  1. Well let’s start off with the director, Sophano. I met him in long beach at my job as he was delivering food to residents. He always had this energy about him. That he could make your day go much better. Then found he was doing a project and he would show bits and pieces of this movie. So I’ve seen it when it was scrathing the surfaces. I must say, I’m impressed. From the scores, acting, even the time lapse of the city. Paid very close attention to detail. Even got the chills when Leroy got his glow lol. More projects to come.

  2. Thank you for the kind words @Cameron Gardner. I love this project. Sophano is a very talented and down to earth guy. It was a privilege to work with him and an honor to protray Shonuff’s west coast version. Be Blessed

  3. Hey everyone, please excuse the fan of last dragon in me but its never to Late to make a sequel or two. Here’s a sequel for ya . Last dragon 2 starring Leroy, Laura green and pooch hall playing Leroys son who discovers the golden glow from Leroy. Samuel L. Jackson as shonuff and Michael jai white as the student of shonuff who discovers the red glow representing the tiger clan let not forget shonuff had a tiger on his uniform. Meanwhile Leroy explain to pooch their is a ancient tournament called the he glow tournament and their are six other clans lookin for their best student to win the dragon belt which is An ancient belt made in tribute to Bruce lee himself . Lets not for get Leroy was influenced by Bruce himself with videos by Laura remember! Each clan has a certain color of glow and specialty in a art. Like for instance, red glow- shonuff a tiger clan ( tiger style Kung fu). Leroys- dragon clan -gold glow (Jeet kune do)Jackie chan praying mantis clan-green glow (Kung fu praying mantis) Jason Statom white tiger clan (karate). Jean Claude van dame (blue clan-kickboxing). Mike Tyson (black glow boxing clan). Donnie yen – wing chun clan- orange) ultimately a master can not win this tournament only a student which honors the teachers. Pooch beats Michael jai and. wins this tournament. Shonuff feels he lost 2-0 so far n then we do shonuffs revenge n part 3. What do u think? Also, we will be hitting all aspects of martial arts that way we have an all star cast Bruce Leroy can return and this film will not only be a hit it will make a contribution to all fighting arts and the best part you could have the fight in a mma octogon showing what is possible in a mma setting. If they can do a creed behind Apollo this would be great for the martial arts world taimak, unc and boxing etc. what do u think gimme some feed back please I most definitely want to see this movie made even if some one in holly wood hired me for ideas on the plot.

    1. I love your idea Aaron. The only changes I would have is with Jason Stathams clan. Instead of White Tiger, I would say White Lion, since there already is a Tiger clan. And since Shonuff ( Julius J. Carry III ) died back in 2008, I would have his younger brother be leader of the Tiger Clan, and that they would be at war with another clan for one of them killing Shonuff while he was in prison. That could be a side story for that one. Jackie Chan is perfect for the Praying Mantis ( Green ) clan. Instead of Donnie Yen, I would rather see Tony Ja as the Wing Chun clan leader ( Orange ). Ohhh dear, now im rambling on …LOL dam it !!! they should make a sequel.. So much to tell…. Its sad that a few people have died that was in the first one, Denise Mathews, Leo O’Brien … But I would rather see them be remembered for what role they did, instead of others playing their characters. .. Example, like having Samuel L. Jackson play as Shonuff brother, instead of Shonuff himself , so that he was played by one person. … Dang im rambling again LOL… anyways, great idea Aaron….. Now only if the DAM Hollywood would do it….
