More courts closing for Friday’s bike races

Richmond Circuit Court and district level courts announced Wednesday they will be closed Friday. The closings apply to all courts in both the John Marshall Courts Building in downtown Richmond and the Manchester Courthouse across the river.
Affected courts include circuit court, general district court and the juvenile and domestic relations court.
Individuals wishing to file for protective orders may contact the Richmond magistrate’s office. Information on their offices is available online at http://www.courts.state.va.us/courts/home.html.
The UCI Road World Championships will restrict access to and from the Marshall courthouse for both the public and employees, a court news release said.
Federal courts and Virginia appellate courts earlier announced plans to close Friday.
