Couldn't have asked for a better and more enjoyable climb to the summit of Kaleetan Peak with my buddy Rob. The only downside were the bugs on the summit. Four other Cascade summits this summer have also had about a million flying ants swarming the summit rocks. Only summer I've even seen this -- very odd! We climbed the traditional route up and came down the talus-field gully that bottoms out below Malakwa Pass. A quick swim in the upper Malakwa Lake felt great on this 90 degree day!
