May 24, 2016, Vancouver, BC—Longtail Kitchen celebrates its third anniversary on June 4th with a pop-up dinner helmed by Vancouver culinary heavyweights Chef Angus An and Chef Hamid Salimian, and cocktail pairings by master bartender David Wolowidnyk. In a showcase of Persian and Thai cuisines, the evening will see a procession of twenty courses and five cocktails as these three friends riff off one another’s talents. Guests will experience a range of flavours, inspirations, and everything from bite-sized snacks to more substantial plates. To reserve your seat for this special evening, please click here.

Tickets to this one-night-only pop-up are $100 per guest. Included are twenty courses (ten by each chef), five cocktails, tax, and gratuity. Only thirty seats are available, so early booking is encouraged.

ABOUT CHEF ANGUS AN
Chef Angus An attended the prestigious French Culinary Institute in New York City. Angus met his wife, Kate, while working at David Thompson’s Nahm in London, and they returned to Vancouver in 2008 to open Gastropod. In May of 2009, Angus and Kate transformed that first critically lauded restaurant into Maenam, now the eldest in a family of successful eateries which now includes Longtail Kitchen and Freebird Chicken Shack in New Westminster, and a casual noodle shop Fat Mao in Chinatown. Maenam was crowned Restaurant of the Year at the 2016 Vancouver Magazine Restaurant Awards.

ABOUT CHEF HAMID SALIMIAN
Iranian-born Chef Hamid Salimian is known for his signature West Coast-inspired Persian cuisine. Having earned 8 culinary gold medals, Hamid is a veteran cooking competitor and has since taken to coaching other Canadian chefs to the very top in international culinary championships. Hamid is a culinary arts instructor at Vancouver Community College, and earned the esteemed Mentorship Award at the 2016 Vancouver Magazine Restaurant Awards. 

ABOUT BARTENDER DAVID WOLOWIDNYK
After earning notoriety for 10 years of innovative bartending at Vancouver’s West, award-winning bartender David Wolowidnyk moved to CinCin restaurant, where he is Bar Manager. David is a co-founder of the Canadian Professional Bartending Association. Among his awards, David Wolowidnyk was named the World’s Most Imaginative Bartender in 2012, at the BOMBAY SAPPHIRE® World’s Most Imaginative Bartender Competition in 2012.
