Providence Park ranked as 40th best stadium in the world

Providence Park is the 40th best soccer stadium in the world, according to the world's biggest soccer magazine.

FourFourTwo, which is based in the United Kingdom, put out a list this week ranking the top 100 soccer stadiums in the world and named Providence Park, the home of the Portland Timbers, as the 40th best stadium.

Providence Park was the highest-ranked MLS stadium.

The magazine said there is a "cathedral-like feel" inside Providence Park. It also praised the Timbers Army for producing "some of the most intricate and beautiful Tifos you will see in North America" and highlighted Portland's mascot, Timber Joey, and the tradition of sawing "off a slice of log to present to each goalscorer."

Do you agree with the list? What are your favorite soccer stadiums in the world? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
